Our Story

From the Garage to the Grid

The Origin

Overdrive started in a cramped garage in East Vancouver, fueled by late nights, black coffee, and a frustration with the local market. In the early days, we saw a disconnect: you could buy cheap wheels that cracked under stress, or expensive imports that took months to arrive. There was no middle ground for the serious enthusiast.

We decided to build the supply chain we wanted as drivers—sourcing products that balanced structural integrity with aggressive aesthetics, and stocking them locally so builds didn’t stall waiting on shipping containers.

Forged in the Pacific Northwest

We don’t just sell specs; we test them. The Pacific Northwest is unforgiving. Between the salted winter highways, the rain-slicked city streets, and the rocky logging roads of the backcountry, your equipment has to hold up.

We spent our formative years testing different alloys and tire compounds against these elements. We learned the hard way which finishes survive Canadian winters and which beadlocks hold air when you air-down for a crawl. This “testing first” mentality became our standard: if a wheel creates vibration on the Sea-to-Sky Highway or de-beads on a trail, it never makes it into our catalog.

Moving the Culture Forward

What began as a local passion project has evolved into a full-scale distribution network. Today, Overdrive is the logistical heartbeat for performance shops across Western Canada.

We have transitioned from a single bay to a global importer, holding exclusive partnerships with heavyweights like THRET Off-Road and Patriot Tires. Yet, despite the growth, our core mission remains unchanged. We are still that same group of enthusiasts from the garage, just with a bigger inventory and a wider reach. We don’t just move boxes; we elevate the standard of what drivers expect from their vehicles.
